Charts
Often, a chart can be extremely
helpful to give you a brief overview
of a period of history or a
genealogy or a doctrine. The
information is presented logically
(in alphabetical order or
chronological order), so that it is
easy to find that piece of
information that you are looking
for. You will find it helpful
to print out some of these charts
and keep them in your Bible (e.g.,
the Eschatology Vocabulary Chart,
the OT and NT Summary Charts (print
those without the links); the
Prophet Chart; and the Brief History
of Israel chart. .
- Abrahamic
Timeline (HTML)
(PDF)
Abraham's ages are given, according
to the Bible, with the various
incidents in his life. Two
very different sets of dates are
also superimposed upon his
life.
- Canonicity
(New Testament) Chart (jpg
1) (jpg
2) (PDF).
This is to counter a dishonest
graphic on the internet which claims
that the New Testament canon was
determined by one council at one
time. Determining which books
belong in the Canon was a process
which took place over a period of
about 350 years.
- Comparative
Chronology Chart.
This is a comparison between the
various chronologies for the period
of the Judges. HTML

- Doctrinal
Terms and Concepts (HTML)
(PDF)
(WPD).
If you have been a believer for 5
years, then you ought to know most
or all of these terms; or, at least
the concepts behind them.
- The Day
of Atonement Chart.
This is an early chart of
mine. HTML

- Eschatological
Vocabulary (HTML)
(PDF)
(WPD).
Eschatology is the doctrine of
future things, and this lists the
primary words used in eschatological
teaching, along with a paragraph
which describes these (mostly)
future events in order.
- Feastday
Chart. This is an
excellent chart which covers all of
the feastdays and their
meaning. HTML

- The
Genealogy of Noah.
The HTML version is worthless.
There are also some problems with
the PDF version. At some
point, I will go back and fix
this. PDF
- A Brief
History of Israel (HTML)
(PDF)
(WPD)
This is a short, 3 page chart,
giving the most basic history of
ancient Israel.
- A Brief History of
Israel without
links (HTML)
(PDF)
(WPD)
If you want to print this and keep
it in your Bible.
- Isaac's
Unusual Birth and How it
Foreshadows the Birth of Our Lord
(HTML)

(WPD)
- Jesus
in the Old and New Testaments.
This
is an excellent chart which breaks
down groups of prophecies about
Jesus Christ as found in parallel
passages in the Law, in Job, in the
Psalms, and in the Prophets.
These will be matched with parallel
passages in the NT. Almost
every set of prophecies about our
Lord can be found in any of the
various groupings from the OT.
That is, we could simply look at the
book of Job, and we would find a
plethora of fulfilled prophecies
about Jesus Christ from that book
alone. The same can be said of
the Prophets, the Psalms or the Law.
This is a fascinating set of
parallels which I highly
recommend. HTML

- Kings,
Prophets and Priests (HTML)
(PDF)
(WPD)
During the time of David, there are
two lines of priests which are
important to understanding some of
what goes on in this time
period. There are also two
problems (1) there is a man with the
same name in both priestly lines
and (2)
There is a grandfather and grandson
with the same name. It is not
as confusing when it is all laid
out, with appropriate color
coding. This chart covers the
entire line of kings (of Judah),
prophets and priests; but with
careful attention paid to the
priestly lines during the time of
Saul, David and Solomon.
- Messianic
Prophesies. HTML
PDF
- The
Movement of the Ark and the
Tabernacle of God. If
you are interested in the OT, this
is an important chart which orients
you to the movement of both the Ark
of God and the Tabernacle of
God. HTML

- Old
Testament Survey.
Roughly a million years ago, when
I attended a Baptist church, they
brought in a special speaker who
gave, in about 45 minutes, and
overview of the Old
Testament. As new
believer, this was an extremely
important survey, and I kept the
notes inside my main Bible even to
this day. I have expanded
this survey and it now runs about
5 pages. If requested, I
will see if this can be reduced in
size to fit into a Bible as an
insert. I do not recall the
name of this guest speaker, so I
am unable to credit him.
However, this document has been
expanded greatly since those days.
